Accreditations
We employ more accredited genealogists and legally qualified staff than any other UK probate research company. These members of staff are all governed by the strict rules of their accrediting or regulating body.

Matthew Boardman, BSc (Hons)
Case Director
Matthew spent many years conducting research and analysis for intelligence units within the Metropolitan Police, including working for the royalty protection team. He joined Anglia Research in 2009.
Carolyn Felgate, BSc (Hons)
Private Client Manager
Carolyn joined Anglia Research in 2005, having returned from a year travelling the world. With a background in publishing and insurance, including claims negotiation.
Eileen Lavelle (née Butcher), member of AGRA
Regional Head
Before running her own successful genealogy company, Eileen was a complex caseworker for the Department for Work and Pensions and also worked for many years in the local studies department

Joining Anglia Research in 2015, Sam worked as a library adviser for Knowsley Metropolitan Borough Council for 17 years. Her interest in genealogy began very young, listening to family stories

A graduate of Queen’s University Belfast, Matthew worked in sales and marketing in the exhibition and conference industry for over a decade, assisting clients with events projects throughout the UK.
Oliver Howard, BA (Hons)

With a long-standing interest in history and genealogy, Oliver joined Anglia Research after he graduated from the University of Essex with a first-class degree in politics in 2002.

With 20 years’ experience as a probate researcher, Rachel's expertise, attention to detail and love of genealogy mean that she can piece together a family tree from the smallest of clues.
Alex Horrod
Case Manager
Alex joined Anglia Research in 2005. He was formerly a director of gilts trading at HSBC in London, having worked in financial markets at the bank for 24 years.

Christopher joined Anglia Research in 2009 from a background in business economics and management. He is a skilled researcher who often deals with cases involving property and land-related issues.
Dr Lisa Hill, BA (Hons) MA PhD
West Indies Research Manager and Training Consultant
Lisa joined Anglia Research in 2007. Originally from California, she has a strong research background, having worked as a research analyst of the California commercial property market.
Georgia Lightbody, CertHE
Case Manager
Previously Georgia was a commercial finance broker. Following her love of genealogy and her strong administrative skills brought her to Anglia Research, guiding beneficiaries through the process.

Sam joined us in early 2022 after the completion of his MA. Sam's BA was in Classical Studies at Newcastle University, and his MA was in Classics and Ancient History at Liverpool.
