Kelvin Smith joined Anglia Research early in 2015, having spent the whole of his working career with The National Archives, retiring in 2007 as records management consultant and head of the accessions management unit.
His specialisations include records appraisal and archiving, records management standards and the promotion of records management in government.
A regular presenter at conferences, workshops and seminars, Kelvin drafted the Lord Chancellor’s Code of Practice on the Management of Records under Freedom of Information and has published a number of books, as well as undertaking frequent assignments in developing countries on behalf of the International Records Management Trust. He is currently honorary secretary of the Association of Commonwealth Archivists and Records Managers.
With his network of international contacts and vast knowledge of archival resources in the UK and across the British Commonwealth, Kelvin helps to further extend Anglia Research’s global reach, whilst also providing the company with records management advice and operational recommendations.
