Fiona Kinsey

Fiona joined Anglia Research in 2023, with over 25 years of experience in family history research. As a former supervisor at the National Records of Scotland, Fiona combines her experience with a lifelong passion for genealogy research.

As an adoption officer for 12 years, Fiona was part of adult adoptees’ life journeys in discovering their birth families. During the 1980s, Fiona worked in the Secretary of State for Scotland’s Office in Whitehall, London. In 2016, Fiona was awarded the Imperial Services Medal for her contribution and service to the Scottish Government.

With her husband, Eric, Fiona has twin sons Marc and Steven, and is a proud grandmother to Jessica. Her hobbies include pottering in the garden and taking walks along the beach, as well as meeting up with friends. Currently located in North Berwick, Fiona still adores looking after dogs for her neighbours – enjoying those long walks along the beach!
