In memoriam

In memory of Ian Hay (1952 – 2012), sadly missed by all his colleagues at Anglia Research.

Ian took early retirement from his position of Her Majesty’s Chief Inspector of Register Offices in England and Wales and then joined Anglia Research as in-house counsel, based at our Southport office. He also took up a volunteer position on the Independent Prison Monitoring Board for Merseyside, where he devoted much of his spare time as a prison visitor to ensure that correct procedures were being followed and the proper levels of care and integrity maintained.

Building on his former experience, Ian brought invaluable advice and expertise to Anglia Research. His knowledge and affability endeared him to his colleagues, all of whom miss him greatly. Ian passed away after a sudden short illness in 2012, aged 60.
